About the Business
Vibrant Mountain Lady Started in January 2021 with a simple Facebook Business Page. It all started with selling crocheted items. In March 2021, with the hopes of expanding the business, an investment was made for a laser cutting and engraving machine, so that ideas could be brought to life and customization for these items would be possible. In May 2021, Vibrant Mountain Lady went live on Etsy and began selling at in-person events. As of mid-June, VML has sold to people in 21 different states and has started selling through a local shop, The Red Caboose in Huntington, WV. About the Owner/Artist
Jennifer Mays was raised her whole life in West Virginia. From an early age, she enjoyed being creative like many members of her family, including her great-grandmother, who was an artist and teacher. Through the years, she often sketched and found a love for crochet. Early on in life, she married and became a mom/stepmom, leaving her creativity behind to focus on family life. Later on, she started embracing her God-given talents again. After much encouragement, love, prayers, and support, she finally decided to start selling her items in January 2021. The business was officially formed later in May 2021. This business has been a blessing to Jenny, her husband, and their six children. She hopes the business continues to grow so that she can support her children's interest, such as dance classes for her eldest daughter. She also hopes that the business not only helps her family, but helps spread God's love to the local community, environment, and more. She continues to design new products for people of all ages, in hopes that they find the items meaningful and useful.
